In papermaking, starch solution is sprayed onto the carrier material to increase its strength (e.g. cardboard or paper). This application requires an even and uniform application of the starch. Hollow-cone nozzles that are not prone to clogging generate the finest droplets and their size can be individually adapted to the requirements of the application.
